Self-Reflection of Exigence Essay

With this reflection of my work, I determined how my peer’s revisions helped me create a stronger final draft. I listened to all of their constructive criticism and applied to my work. It then drove me to ask myself questions like, “What’s next?”, in order to incorporate new ideas into my self reflection and not just speak on the error’s made by me in the paper. Other than writing on the cluttering of unnecessary information in my writing, I wanted to speak on what I needed to change for my future drafts. Whether it is creating accurate and supportive sub-topics for my thesis or keeping my sentences from sounding run on and writing more words than I have to.

I once again engaged in the social and collaborative aspects of the writing process. I also considered every of my peer’s reviews in order to understand what I needed to practice more in order to develop my writing skills. With the help of my peers I was able to learn to completely evaluate what the question the paper was asking. From there I was shown how I needed to stop being vague with my sentences in order to clearly show what the points of my essay were. I would place a word like “beneficial” in my writing however, not actually explain what the benefits actually were, when those extra details would have made my paragraph even stronger with more detail and ideas to back up my argument.
